Lake Bluff Platform Tennis

Join and play Lake Bluff Park District Platform Tennis!
Welcome to the Lake Bluff Paddle Club. We are excited to let you know that Lake Bluff has something for everyone of every skill level. If you like competition, then you should play on one of our teams. We will have at least five Ladies' Teams and six Men's Teams competing with clubs all over the North Shore. We need Beginners, Advanced players and everything in between! If you like to be social, then our club is the answer to Friday night fun and more! We have mixers two Fridays a month, and several special events that everyone will enjoy.

Lake Bluff Paddle

If you have children, then you will enjoy the many opportunities for them to get involved and learn this great sport. We have competitive programs and fun social programs for all to enjoy. They are guaranteed to have a blast! We offer many types of lessons: private, semi-private, team drills, Fast Paddle for beginners, Shot of the Week, clinics and Paddle Camps.

No matter what your ability or whether you are looking for competitive or social paddle, we will find a place for you in our club to enjoy your season! If you want to learn about the game of Platform Tennis Click Here.
Lake Forest residents get resident rates for all paddle memberships, programs and rentals.

Memberships are available for Ladies, Men & Juniors, residents and non-residents, and run from September 1 through August 31. We offer Individual Memberships that feature league play, October through March, at all skill levels. There are weekly team drills for an additional fee. The Individual Membership also includes use of the courts 7 days a week. Social Memberships allow play from Friday through Sunday night. Both Seniors and Juniors pay a reduced fee. Non-members may sign-up for specific programs offered throughout the season. All are welcome! Download a Registration Form.

Our Facility
We have three well maintained platform tennis courts and an amazing new hut. Enjoy watching leagues and lessons, or come for social play and experience what our new facility has to offer.

Paddle Hut Rentals
Plan your next gathering at the Lake Bluff Park District Paddle Hut. It's a great place to spend a cold winter night with friends and family. The Paddle hut can accommodate groups of up to 35 people. Parties can be reserved for Friday and Saturday evenings and include the following:

  • Exclusive use of the Paddle Hut and three courts from 6-10 pm
  • Free use of loaner paddles and balls
  • Post-party clean-up
  • Catering is available through the Park District
  • Professional instruction is available at an additional fee.

Rental Fees

All Hut Rental Fees listed include $100 Deposit. See deposit conditions listed below.

Non-resident $415

Deposit of $100 will be returned only if ALL of the following conditions are met:

  • Paddle Hut and Courts must be left clean after use as determined by staff
  • Garbage must be placed in receptacles, chairs and tables back to original placement
  • All guests must be out of the paddle facility by 10:15 pm
  • Failure to meet any one of these conditions will result in no refund.

Host Liquor Liability

If you would like to have an event with alcohol on hand, please contact the Guest Services Desk for available options.

Meet our Pro
Eric Moran is the new Racquet Sports Manager for the Lake Bluff Park District. Eric will run both the Tennis and Platform Tennis Programs for Adults and Juniors with his team of qualified professionals. He comes to us from the Lake Forest Club where he was the Head Racquets Professional for the last nine years. Eric helped direct, run, and grow every part of the LFC program from (Teams, Team Drills, Group Lessons, Private Lessonss, Camps, Special Events, etc) for both the Adults as well as the Juniors.

Eric has been a full time Tennis/Platform Tennis professional for over 20 years. He is the Illinois Vice President for the United States Professional Tennis Association and has been a member for 20 years. Eric is also certified by the Professional Platform Tennis Association and the United States Racquet Stringers Association as a Master Racquet Technician. Eric has been published in the Midwest Connection magazine as well as Platform Tennis magazine.

He has been in the Chicago area for the last 15 years and was Junior Director at the Five Season's Country Club-Northbrook and the Head Tennis Professional at the Lincolnshire Club before being hired to co-direct the Lake Forest Club in 2002. He played collegiate tennis for Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville and Knox College as well. Eric regularly competes in the American Platform Tennis Association's sanctioned national ranking tournaments, has been nationally ranked in the top 30 for the last 4 years, and also captains the Men's Series I Lake Bluff Team. Eric's energy, enthusiasm and organization make him a great fit for growing the program and being the new Racquet Sports Manager of the Lake Bluff Park District.
